Description

Welcome to The Girls Strawberry U-Pick — a magical little gem just outside Delray Beach where nostalgia, nature, and family fun come together! At “All About Delray,” we’re thrilled to introduce you to this charming stop on your Florida adventure — even if the name says “U-Pick,” the experience is so much richer than that.

Why It’s Special

Once known for seasonal strawberry picking, The Girls now offers a lush garden space surrounded by exotic birds, a petting zoo (think goats, rabbits, turtles, even Romeo & Juliet the donkeys), and whimsical touches like a duck derby or gem-mining station. Inside the storefront you’ll discover an old-timey candy and soda shop, Grandma’s Bakery delights, and The Bambini Pizzeria just steps away. It’s part museum, part garden, part playground — and totally Instagram-worthy.

Best Time to Visit & Hours

  • Strawberry “season” is generally November through April for the freshest picking opportunities.

  • Other produce (beans, cherry tomatoes, peppers) may be available outside that window.

  • Hours:
     • Tuesday through Friday: 10:30 am – 8:30 pm
     • Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 am – 8:30 pm
     • Petting zoo closes around 7:00 pm; last admission is about 6:30 pm
     • Closed Mondays

Because evenings are cooler and birdlife is active, late afternoon visits (4–7 pm) are especially enchanting.

How to Get There (from Delray Beach)

  1. From downtown Delray, head west and merge onto South Federal Highway (US-1) southbound.

  2. Turn right onto South Military Trail.

  3. Continue south until you see 14466 S. Military Trail, Suite 3 — the storefront is in a small strip shopping center.

It’s about a 10–15 minute drive depending on traffic. You’ll know you’re there when you spot the candy shop front and gardens behind.

Why You Should Visit

Whether you come for pick-your-own berries, animal cuddles, old-school candy delights, homemade pizza or ice cream, you’ll leave with big smiles. It’s a slice of “Florida charm” you won’t find in standard tourist guides — perfect for families, couples, or anyone craving a playful, down-to-earth treat. From the gardens to the museum-like displays of memorabilia to the animal encounters, this place is a little slice of wonder that makes for a memorable afternoon.

We can’t wait to see your photos of roosters, donkeys, or berry baskets! Let us know when you go — you’ll be glad you squeezed this into your Delray itinerary.
